As a shallow lake and lake shoal wetland, Honghu Lake wetland is an ecosystem with muti functions and values, it has abundant animal and plant species, and can also be used as a land resources; It can not only brings into play role in agricultural irrigation and drainage, regulation of flooding and waterlogging, but also purify water quality and improves ecological environment; Meanwhile, Honghu Lake wetland is also took as the base for environmental education and scientific research. Therefore, Honghu Lake wetland is of significance to ecological balance maintaining and species diversity conservation.
