中文摘要: 中国经济的快速增长引起了国内外各界的广泛关注。本文研究分析了中国经济快速增长对中国和世界食物的影响。研究结果表明:中国经济增长不会对本国和世界的食物安全带来威胁;中国经济的高速发展给其它国家农产品出口提供了发展机会,而且大部分国家将从中国的经济发展中受益。
Abstract:China’s rapid economic growth has addressed great attention in China and abroad. The overall goal of this study is to examine the implications of China’s rapid economic growth on China and world food security. Based on Global Trade Analysis Projects (GTAP) model and with substantial improvements on GTAP database for China, we analyze three scenarios to explore the impacts of China’s economic growth. Our study shows that China’s rapid economic growth will not threaten its own and the world food security. Indeed, it will provide more opportunities to other countries to expand the production of many land intensive agricultural commodities.
