Abstract:The Rare-earth metal is a very important strategic resource, which is used in industry and agriculture and military field extensively, called "universal earth". China holds a position of particularly favorable natural conditions in the world about this metal. The output and export and consumption of Chinese rare-earth metal stand first in the world . However, the rare-earth metal is deprived seriously due to the frantic exploitation, which is a seriously menace to Chinese economy and military safety. Some suggestions on countermeasures are proposed in this paper. The rare-earth metal country reserve pool should be established and the export of this key metal should be restricted, thus promoting the raising of the innovation ability of high technology of rare-earth metal enterprises.
