Abstract:On the basis of the challenges confronting China’s agriculture since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China in different periods,the present paper has made specific review of major contributions for China’s agricultural science and technology and grain security by the CAS during the various periods in different fields,and has made an exposition and prospect for the development strategy of the future agricultural science and technology of the CAS,especially the working deployment during the "12th Five-Year Planning" period.
