Abstract:In the Hwang Woo-suk Event,the egg procurement scandal exposes the weakness of ethics in the face of nationalist sentiment.The phenomenon deserves great attention.This paper analyzes the historical process of the egg procurement scandal and response of science community,government and the public,then discusses the relation of science and ethics,along with the mission of S&T ethics.In an age of promoting the development of science and technology in the name of national interests,the author believes that it is important to promote and maintain ethics reflection on S&T in order to protect healthy development of S&T through education on S&T ethics.
