Abstract:Geography can play significant roles in providing advices for policymaking and governmental decision-making.Based on the characteristics of the discipline,this paper analyzes the think factory function of geography.Implications and roles of geography as think factory in providing advices for policymaking and governmental decision-making in the Chinese Academy of Sciences were reviewed,and experiences and features were summarized.Suggestions on how to promote more successful think factory outputs in the field of geography were made.
