Abstract:As the development of information technology, Internet of Things (IoT) has been widely used in various fields in agricultural production. Important progress has been made in some countries in the fields of IoT sensing technology, data transmission technology, intelligent processing technology, etc. Typical cases have appeared that apply IoT to the agriculture domain. These technical progress and related applications are of great significance to the rapid development of agricultural IoT in China. Through investigation and analysis to the latest progress on agricultural IoT technology in other countries, this paper describes advanced techniques and experiences in the fields of IoT sensing technology, data transmission technology, intelligent processing technology,etc. Several typical cases of agricultural IoT that are related to monitoring and utilization of agricultural resources, agricultural ecological environment monitoring, fine management of agricultural production, agricultural product safety traceability, and agricultural IoT cloud service are presented. Furthermore, constructive suggestions are proposed in the development of miniaturized sensors, seeking systematic energy strategy, reducing the cost of sensors, sensor network security and interference problems, automatic node configuration issues,and other aspects.
