Abstract:This paper presents the current progress and the future trends in the area of robotics and automation. As one of the main international organizations on robotics and automation, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society(RAS)is devoted to im-proving the influence of this area, connecting research and industry, and promoting the cooperation with governments and other international organizations, in which way to face the challenge in the future.
