Abstract:This paper establishes a clear and definite definition of the concept, composition, and characteristics of contemporary Chinese national cohesion. The national cohesion has five factors of inclusive, non-equilibrium, periodicity, accumulation, and effect of direction selectivity. The cohesion of the country is divided into five aspects of material cohesion, spirit cohesion, cultural cohesion, political cohesion, and cohesion of security. This paper comprehensively evaluates the status of Chinese national cohesion, and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to enhance the national cohesion of contemporary China.
