Abstract:Fishery takes a very important role in the animal protein supply and the blue economy in China. There are many people living on fishery. In the last half century, fishery grew very fast, both in fishing industry and aquaculture, but a series of bottle neck problems occurred, such as overfishing, decline of the fish stock, ecological disasters, water pollution and coastal space competition, etc. There are many propels for the fishery development, including development of deep sea fishery, expanded coastal aquaculture, etc. Fishery Version 3.0 is one of the proposals focusing on the marine ecosystem based fishery management, including restoring systematic resolution of sustainable development of the fishery.
