Abstract:The article reviews Science Islander's tenacity in the face of hardships and scarcity in the early construction years and showcases their solidarity and cooperation, enterprising spirit, and motivation in pursuing the science cause at the recent integrated development stage. It illustrates the Science Islander's original aspiration and adherence to the mission of "innovating science and technology, serving the country and benefiting the people". Guided by the national strategic needs and driven by mission, Science Island relies on large-scale scientific facilities to achieve interdisciplinary and integrated development, and has paved a way for institutionalized scientific research of Science Island. These inspirations and reflections will inspire the Science Islander to stay true to the mission as a "national team" in the professional field and make new and greater contributions to the realization of high-level self-reliance and self-improvement.
