         地球科学;回顾;成就;展望;发展趋势

        地球科学在 2 0世纪取得了空前的进步 ,2 1世纪将是其更加迅速发展的时代。简要回顾了地球科学在 2 0世纪的重大成就 ,展望了该科学领域 2 1世纪初叶的发展趋势与战略重点 ,并提出了具体措施建议。

        Earth sciences made unprecedented progress in the 20th century and will develop further at an accelerating pace in the future. This paper briefly reviews the most important achievements contributed by several generations of Earth scientists in the world during the past century. Emphasizing the great significance of the study of the Earth system as a whole and of interactions of its all parts, research opportunities in the next decades are tentatively outlined and research priorities of interdisciplinary and Earth-system aspects are proposed. Finally, some recommendations for research implementation to both scientists and policy-makers are also made.
