        2002年12月12日,中国科学院、国家科技部、国家计划委员会、国家自然科学基金委员会联合宣布“中国水稻(籼稻)基因组精细图完成”。此前,我国科学家于2001年10月完成了其工作框架图的绘制。水稻(籼稻)基因组工作框架图与精细图是继人类基因组计划之后所测定完成的最大的植物基因组,也是迄今为止惟一用“霰弹法”完成的最大基因组精细图。这表明中国在基因组科学领域处于世界领先地位;也标志着中国的高性能计算在生物信息领域的综合实力。文章概要地介绍了该项成果的研究背景和意义、主要内容、研制过程和方法、应用价值及国内外的评价。

        Chinese Academy of Sciences,Ministry of Science and Technology,the State Development Planning Commission,and the National Natural Science Foundation of China announced together "the completion of the fine map of the Chinese rice (Oryza sativa L.ssp indica) genome" on December 12th,2002.And Chinese scientists have mapped its working draft in October 2001.It is the biggest botanic genome sequenced after the Human Genome Project,and is the biggest one sequenced with the shotgun strategy so far.It shows that China has taken the leading place in the genome science field,and also demonstrates the general strength of Chinese high performance computation in the bioinformatics field.The article introduces summarily the research background,the significance,the main content,the research process and the methods of the achievement and the appraisal on it at home and abroad.
