Abstract:Mathematical tradition in China can be traced back to ancient times. This paper discusses the algorithmic and mechanical characters of Chinese classic mathematics and its historical contributions towards so-called main lines of the development of world mathematics. Author emphases the practical significance of understanding those characters to the knowledge innovation of mathematics.
