Abstract:The ecological modernization is one of the major fields of modernization, a coupling of mutual benefits between modernization and the natural environment, and a kind of the ecological transformation of modernization. The China Modernization Report 2007 systematically analyses the fundamentals of ecological modernization of the world, and the strategic selection of ecological modernization of China. This paper discusses three main points of the CMR 2007: (1) The historical inspiration of the ecological modernization. (2) Fundamentals of ecological modernization. (3) The road map of the ecological modernization of China.
